Bells Rapids
At the end of cathedral avenue deep in the swan velley is the majestic Bells Rapids. This famous section of the Avon descent is a fantastic place to have your wedding and portrait photography sessions.
The area changes from season to season. Winter brings wild rushing river rapids while the summer exposes the beautiful rocky landscapes beneath.
The car park is nothing more then cleared gravel and getting to that takes you down a steep narrow driveway. Some limousines may have trouble getting there however personally I have never seen it be a problem. A high level of fitness is recommended to get to some areas. Access to the bridge requires walking down a steep gravel path which is not the easiest in high heals.

The bridge that spans the river is just beautiful. It is strictly a foot bridge and is often completely empty. Long before the sun sets over Perth, it is obscured from view by a high rising hill. This gives a fantastic location an extra hour or so of twilight, which is really great for a photographer.

For the more adventurous, you may want to spend more time here and take a trek across the river into the hilly surrounds. However if you are looking for a more casual photo shoot, there is stunning scenery just meters from the car parks.
