West Australians are blessed with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It is not surprising that the beach remains one of the most popular locations for photography.

However over time, an attitude towards the beach as being boring has developed. Beaches, while consisting only of sand and ocean actually provide an amazing location for creative photography.

The perception of the beach being boring is most likely a result of the large numbers of new photography businesses based on unskilled camera owners trying to play the photographer game with their new shiny camera. A beach is not much more then sand unless the person behind the camera knows how to do something with it.
