I have just come back from Bali where I was putting the final preparations together for a Shoppng Tour that I am escorting in November. Well I have to say to anyone that has not been to Bali in a while - Its time to go back !!!

There have been many changes in Bali- all for the good. Improvements have been made on the quality of accommodation, to the amazing dining experiences thought to some of the best shopping I have seen. Had a fabulous sunset dinner at Ma Joly in Tuban and highly recommend that if you are heading to Bali. (you must make a reservation for sunset)

I flew with Strategic Airlines which is the new full service carrier out of Perth. Their generous luggage allowance of 30 kgs makes it ideal if you like a bit of shopping and the included drinks on the flight went down a treat.

Before heading home I was invited by Alila Villas to visit their 4 properties in Bali.... WOW.... if you are looking for something high end and exclusive then you will luuuurrrvvveee Alila.
My favorite was Alila Uluwatu which is about 30 minute drive from Kuta so not too far if you want some shopping days.

Alila Uluwatus' one bed villa is 291 sq mtrs of luxury complete with Butler. Everything you would wish for is in your room including DVD player, expresso machine, private pool, outdoor dining and an amazing collection of female and male bathroom amenities. Check out my photo of the outdoor area below.

There is a choice of 2 fabulous restaurants, traditional Indonesian and a Fine Dining Restaurant, "Cire". Breakfast is far from ordinary here and rather like a degustation. You can sit as long as you want and order as many dishes as you like. Each exquisite dish is small so you can graze for hours.

Other Alila villas are Alila Soori in Tabanan, Alila Manggis in Chandi Dasa and Alila Ubud in Ubud.
