I am not sure if you have been lucky enough to experience a Banyan Tree property before, the ultimate in luxury hotels, but now is your chance with the new Banyan Tree, Ungasan in Bali now opened.

Your 240 sq metre private pool villa comes with a 10 metre long pool, your own Jacuzzi and sunbed along with the biggest bathroom including flat screen TV at the foot of the bath.

From the moment I entered the foyer I knew I was in for a few days of absolute luxury and was not disappointed. I was taken to my villa by buggy and once inside stared in amazement at what was going to be my home for the next 3 days. WOW !!!

Every detail was taken care of, from the separate wine fridge to the incense stick selection to the very fancy coffee machine. As I walked through the loungeroom, the dining room, past the guest rest room I made it to the bedroom and trust me you wont want to leave once you enter. You have direct access to your private 10 metre swimming pool from your bedroom and from there you can access your jacuzzi and sunbed all the while taking in Garden or ocean views.

Breakfast around the main pool was amazing and the service was faultless. Champagne is available daily at the breakfast Buffet (a la carte dining is also available). There is also a fine dining restaurant opened for dinner with a Moroccan theme overlooking the clifftop to the ocean.

The Maldives is a collection of tiny atolls, renowned for their remarkable corals and an amazing variety of colourful marine life. Here you can relax, kick off your footwear, swim to your heart’s content and truly enjoy the life of a “lotus-eater.”

This is a preferred destination for Australian honeymooners, the islands providing that idyllic sun-drenched lifestyle which is so conducive to total relaxation.

A busy day’s schedule could have you waking late, enjoying a leisurely breakfast, sunbathing, swimming in the lagoon, snorkelling or scuba diving, enjoying an afternoon nap, then pre-dinner drinks followed by an enjoyable dinner. Of course, should you wish, there are numerous sporting activities and excursions to undertake and enjoy.

Due to the local religion, couples from other countries cannot be legally married in the Maldives, however mock and renewal ceremonies can be performed.

There are some amazing deals on at the moment especially for Honeymooners for the period to October 2011. Bonuses include room discounts, romantic dinners, champagne and strawberries, massages and room upgrades. The hardest decision will be which of the stunning range of properties you would like to stay in!

Absolute luxury in the Maldives

I have just come back from Bali where I was putting the final preparations together for a Shoppng Tour that I am escorting in November. Well I have to say to anyone that has not been to Bali in a while - Its time to go back !!!

I have just returned from a Honeymoon and Wedding Trade Show in Fiji which included visits to many of the Islands in the Mamanucas (Pronounced Mamanuthas). About 50 agents flew in from Australia, New Zealand, USA and UK and we all stayed on Plantation Island for the first night, we then attended the trade show the following day after which we were all divided into small groups and each group, accompanied by a representative from Tourism Fiji was sent out to explore different areas of Fiji. Well I must tell you that the gods were smiling on our group of 5 as our area of exploration was the Mamanunca group of Islands.
I have travelled to many places in the world and have been doing this since 1989 and I can honestly say that there is not a lot out there that comes close to the beauty of the Fiji Islands, small islands, crisp white sand and beaches fringed completely by palm trees. To add to the stunning beauty of the islands is the incredible welcome and the hospitality of the Fijian people.
The Mamanuca Islands are located in the western or “dry” side of Fiji and enjoy a pleasant year round climate. Transfers to the Mamanucas can be by boat, helicopter, seaplane or scheduled air service. There are a variety of islands to choose from, catering for most tastes and budgets. There were some amazing family friendly properties but we are here to talk about Honeymoons and there are a few perfect options to choose from, I have listed my top three in no particular order.
